Milestones

2026 Wandel WerkStadt goes Non-Profit and shifts efforts to Open Source.

2025 A couple of cities have been running the Klimaportal – Bayreuth is the first maintained by a local initiative. We also received the German Sustainability Award.

2024 Wandel WerkStadt was founded as a spin-off for digital product innovation. The first Klimaportal launched in summer.

2022 Our team met at ansvar2030 working with city administrations on climate policies and various products. To guide processes and communication, we created the first version of the Klimaportal.

Design

I've done anything design at Wandel WerkStadt: Branding, website, pitch decks, posters and business cards, contracts, excel sheets, illustrations, social media, stickers, flyers, whiteboards, Notion templates, icons, stitching. New mediums keep popping up!

Designing for climate action is always deeply strategic.

Few fields are loaded with so much absurd media-fueled hate and prejudices: our work is supposed to be ideology & idealism, an attack on personal lifestyles, de-industrialisation or simply brainwashing.

I find it a good maxime to seek connection to counter the denial. Showing that we care – and how.

Everything is an invite to something larger than ourselves. That's something no sales pitch can compete with.

Illustration

I created sketches with Midjourney, reworked and finetuned them in Figma resulting in color-branded assets.

I created this modular set of isometric assets for a scenario module of the Klimaportal. It's always interesting how such few elements can result in diverse arrangements.

Social Media

I've done sharepics from infographics to teasers and product launches, including Copywriting for Linkedin and Bluesky.

Slides

From polishing drafts from my colleagues to pitch decks and strategy meetings, I've scrubbed my fair share of slides.

Yet they keep coming and PowerPoint remains both a requirement as well as a pain in the ass.

We went standard-SaaS-style with the Klimaportal product page, rather spending energy on polishing content.

Project management & IT administration

We're a team of generalists, adapting to shifting roles and responsibilities over time. As an avid Notion architect I've revamped our project management, bundling tickets & context for each project.

Tinkering, tracking, testing

While our developer handles the core IT infrastructure, I support with research & administration of tools we use.

Our website is mostly maintained by me – from design to content & CSS, deep analytics and data/privacy policies & cookie consent.

By the end of 2025, we've already come a long way. And chances are, AI will rattle many cages going forward.

In my spare time, I experiment with AI agents & automation. Connecting services and APIs, building context, testing system prompts.
